Groups?? Sure…

Often when I am drawing quick-sketches at parties, trade shows and other events, someone will approach — usually with hestitation, almost apologetic — and ask very gently: Can you draw more than one at a time?

Oh, sure… No trouble at all…

Usually that’s a family such as these three —

Now and then, to save time I just stop at the collar in group shots, rather than sketching in the shoulders and chest…

Other times there are fairly large groups, such as maybe a sales team at a convention or trade show gathering. Takes just a BIT more planning, but no problem there either…

TEAM SPIRIT! I have to draw the shorter people at bottom, taller ones up top…

And there are times when the GROUP question just gets COMPLETELY out of hand, gang, but I do what I can —

This large group was drawn live, which took absolutely forever — but they LOVED it… Notice how much the black areas pull your attention; the men in black shirts up top are the executives who started the company I believe…

And, hey, it’s all fun anyhow. Beats working, right? I also encourage copies of the drawings so everyone can have their own. It’s fine to reproduce a sketch for personal use. Why not, eh?
