This is a new project: “The GENIUS FILES.” Here I wish to give credit to some of the greatest talents of all time, in all manner of disciplines. From art to politics to science to other areas hardly anyone would consider Genius territory.
It will be an adventure and I welcome your thoughts: please email me with your opinion on these soon-to-be widely varied selections. You may wish to check out previous selections in the archives.

Patsy Cline (September 8, 1932–March 5, 1963). American country music singer; achieved remarkable pop music crossover success in the early 1960s. One of the most influential, successful and respected singers ever, known for her rich tone and compelling, emotionally expressive contralto voice. Hits included “Walkin’ After Midnight,” “I Fall to Pieces,” “She’s Got You,” “Crazy,” “Sweet Dreams.” A strong woman, she controlled her own career as few had before, often standing up to shady promoters to the amazement and admiration of her peers. Cline was killed in a plane crash at the height of her career; received many honors and awards before and since.
